Triple S Brewing

 

a neat little place i never knew existed until i randomly drove past it and went in for lunch and a few beers. the place is cool, artsy sort of setup, long room in the front with some tables and cool art, and then the bar and brewery in the back. comfortable and sort of minimalist. they had quite a few beers on tap too, but mostly basic and familiar styles. some real neat use of local hops though, which is way cool. i loved the porter and was rather neutral on the others i tried. hard to get a read on the vibe too, because i was the only one there in the mid afternoon on a week day. i bet it jumps at night. nice enough guy behind the bar, but not real enthusiastic it didnt seem about the beer, he definitely wasnt the brewer. i had a tasty lamb sausage pita, and it looked like they had some neat food on their menu. maybe a little expensive for what it is, but quick and good and somewhat inventive. kitchen is right there behind the bar too, a little unflattering i think, but it didnt bother me. a fun place to swing in when you are making the brewery rounds, but i would like to see their beer get a little more creative...
