Pours dark black/red body, next to no foam or lacing. Smell of chocolate and liquorice, taste is slight coffee notes and some hop bitterness, roasted malts. Texture is quite thin and is surprisingly watery for the strength. Reminds me more of a porter than stout.

Pours very dark, but with some clarity and a little thin. Head is medium and leaves little lace. Nose is light coffee and roasted grains. Taste is also quite light, as if watered down...which is surprising at 5.9%. Tastes more like a 3.9% stout. Retains some roasted grain and licorice flavors, as well as some light astringency. Mouthfeel is quite light. Overall, not something I'd want again.

Dark and silky with a thin tan head that lasts only briefly. Relatively powerful burnt coffee and smoke on the nose. Some Irish peat smoke with a hint of fruit, perhaps even cherry. The taste follows the nose, with smoke being dominant but with plenty of sweetness to balance it. Delicious. Something fruity again in the taste, this time more reminiscent of toffee apple, but not cloying. Relatively no bitterness with the taste being mostly front-of-the-mouth. Warm, tobacco after-taste. I really like the taste, though the body doesn't quite match it, with a touch of wateriness after the hit, but no more so than expected for the abv. Relatively little carbonation, enough to tingle a little but not detract. Coffee is included as an ingredient.
Edit: Two subsequent cans have been thinner and much more metallic in taste. Original rating was 4, 3.75. 4. 3.75, 3.75 = 3.87. Rating reduced after tasting again.

Not bad but not great. Predominant flavour is strong, black instant coffee. A little too fizzy but with a fairly firm texture.

Pours a jet black body with minimal tan head
Big coffee aroma
The flavour is all sweet black coffee there's a touch of charcoal on the back but I'm not picking up the Unicorn tears
