Copenhagen 19/10 2017. 33 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. Thirsty duck sitting atop big letters "I", "P" and "A" on the label.
Pours hazy amber with flotsam and jetsam whirling around the glass upon pouring. I think that I will wait a couple of minutes before I drink this. Lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is pretty intense. Slightly overripe exotic fruits, sour citric notes and some fermented alcoholic odor.
Medium strong carbonation and a slightly thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish semi-dry.
Solid IPA - with so much grit that I actually was pretty surprised that it only holds an ABV of 5,9.

May 2013: 330 ml bottle, as Ugly Duck IPA Simcoe & Chinook, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.9%. Hazy amber to brown colour, large white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma of American hops, fruity and mild piney notes. Rather sweet (too sweet?) flavour of crystal malts, followed by resinous hops. Bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not perfectly balanced.

Hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma has intense dank, earthy, herbal hops. Taste starts hoppy up-front with the dank, resiny, vegetal hops. Bitterness shows only in the finish. Body is quite light but smooth and carbonation is soft. Really nice dank bomb, not too bitter or harsh.
