Copenhagen 4/9 2016. 33 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften. Kbh. NV. A lot of stars imposed on the visage of Barack Obama on the label.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is fruity with sweet peach, mango and passion fruit. Citric sour notes.
Soft carbonation and a slightly thick palate.
Flavor has a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a semi-dry finish.
Nice but slightly mellow APA. Perhaps aptly named after the sitting President. It wouldn’t do to go to hoppy extremes in this context.
