Copenhagen 3/1 2018. 33 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Black label with what looks like Vladimirs face in the background and “Putin” in blocky letters.
Pours opaque black with a small beige head. Settles as a very thin almost transparent layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is strong and prominent. Coffee, dark bitter chocolate, roastiness and brown sugar. A bit aggressive but in a very delicious way.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is lingering and impressively bitter.
I do not know why Danish brewers has a fascination of Vladimir Putin. But as long as the result is quality beer I have no objections.
