This colossal delicious imperial dessert stout is loaded with generous amounts of cocoa nibs and vanilla. Lactose and oats deliver a creamy texture, big body and sweetness. The chocolate, toffee and molasses from the roasted malts and barley add to the complexity.
This edition is infused with orange and dark chocolate. Remember visiting your grandmother and the only chocolate in the house was dark chocolate sticks that tasted of sweet candied oranges? We liked that chocolate and wanted to take a beer just like it...
Guess we are just weird like that.

Copenhagen 6/9 2021. 33 cl bottle from Vinens Verden, Slotsgade, Odense C. Drawing of an orange tinted landscape with oil pumps and a river on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a dark, slightly spicy, fruity and boozy odor mingling with earthy fumes. Brown sugar, licorice, motor oil and burnt dark malts. Fermented oranges. Hints of tobacco.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, fat, creamy, sticky texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Finish is fairly dry.
Had expected a bit more orange crunch and a bit less licorice. But not a bad Imperial Stout.
