This colossal delicious imperial dessert stout is loaded with generous amounts of cocoa nibs and vanilla. Lactose and oats deliver a creamy texture, big body and sweetness. The chocolate, toffee and molasses from the roasted malts and barley add to the complexity.
This edition is infused with smoked sea salt and caramel. The result is a Dessert stout that is even more like dessert. The alt enhances the sweet flavours and fullness and the caramel just add to that chewy chocolate cake feeling. We like salt and cake...
Guess we are just weird like that.

Copenhagen 9/9 2021. 33 cl bottle from Vinens Verden, Slotsgade, Odense C. A very dark rendering of the usual Rio Grande Blood label with the oil pumps and the flowing river.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small dark beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, sugary, slightly candy-like odor mingling with alcohol and roasted notes. Chocolate, salty caramel, and toffee. Hard roasted, dark malts. Sweet coffee liqueur.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, sticky, soft, fat, almost fat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a bitter undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Very sweet with a harsh streak. But enough flavor to distract me from the ABV.
