Rindby 13/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Black label with 3 crafty merchants drawn in white. Vintage 2019.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a medium-sized beige head. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of caramel, vanilla and toffee. Sweet lactose. Dark bitter chocolate, leather. Earthy fumes.
Light carbonation. Thick, silken, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish has a light boozy burn.
Wholesome Imperial Stout. Sweet but balanced. Smooth as hell. And with a decent boozy burn.
