Hazy pale yellow, almost straw color. The initial head takes up 2/3 of the glass. Slow to recede as it condenses to rocky foam dome. Some minor spots are left on the glass as it fades.

Decent caramel aroma on the initial whiff. Some floral hop comes next but it's mixed with some "freezer burn". There's a bit of biscuit as well.

The taste is surprisingly harsh with an astringent finish. Highly carbonated, the body seems thin to me. The initial taste is a bit watery and not the malt presence the smell promised. This is brief. Replacing it was a strong bitterness from the hop that, for me, came across like the flavor of brussel sprouts. The beer swallows extremely dry. (As an aside, I had a brut IPA just before this one that wasn't nearly as dry.) The aftertaste is biting as well and lingers far longer than I would like. In short, this beer lacks complexity and balance. The flavors that do appear are not ones I enjoy.
