500ml bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of spices, toasted caramel and subtle fruity notes. Sweet caramel with a hint of yeastiness and spices.

a really neat little italian producer here, who has impressed me when i can find their beer, which is not easy to do! this saison is pretty at first, crystal clear through the first half of the bottle, then quite cloudy as the sediment churns into the mix later on. its impossibly clean and light and tidy before the sediment, delicate beer, lightly hoppy, carbonated like selter water, with simple but beautiful flavors. the yeast is a little winey, a little french tasting, but also just a little bit wild, really nice here. the second half, once the sediment comes in, gets a little sharper on the yeast side but actually seems to contribute more grain character than anything else, which is not how it usually works but is a cool surprise to me here. super wheaty, almost more german than italian on the malt for a moment, but brought back with the herbal hops and bright yeast. light spices to it, white wine, green apple, cut flowers, its patient and slowly opening up beer, but the careful drinker is rewarded with almost two beers in the same bottle, and i think thats really neat. getting more and more interested in these guys each time i have one of their beers. i like the cleaner half of this more, but the whole thing is delightful if you are tired of the same old saison profiles...

Pours a cloudy, golden color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, slight grass, floral hops, hint of earthiness, hint of sweet malt, slight yeast, and hops. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, slight grass, floral hops, hint of earthiness, hint of sweet malt, slight yeast, and hops. Overall, either an good saison or a great blonde.
