Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- A good amber colour on it, pours clear with a huge (5Cm) pillowy off-white head. ps@+10mins the head part collapsed but it's still 3Cm+in places. It has a thick texture resembling very heavily whipped cream. Which is why large globs of it seem to be able to stick to the sides as I continue down. Not lacing, more globbing hehe...
S- Solid grains but with a hoppy brightness to it too.
T- Ooh! Hoppy dry! First sip of beer today and boom. It's that hoppy it's at a point to also have a sour edge. ...and it's so hoppy it just made me sneeze too. There are some malts here too, of course, but the trad dry hops clearly dominate it's profile.
F- Hops-forward, hops dominant, trad hops, it's all about the hops.
O- Much hoppier than I'd usually wish for, but then again at least they're trad so we haven't a mangosteen/lychee/tangerine/bongo-land/space cadet aspect turning this into an under-age affliction.
More seriously fans of big and fresh trad IPAs might get a kick out of this one.
Review1965/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! 'IPA 15 - Dark lager, unfiltered, unpasteurised... 6.2%'. Yep, IPA/Dark lager, that's really confusing.
500ml bottle BB: 15/11/21 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
