these guys have taken over the old himmelberger spot, always been a cool space, its been some time now, but this seems like a nice addition to the scene here. they are one of the only breweries i have seen in town doing wild and funky and bretty fermentation forward beers, and ive liked the ones of those i have had a lot, but i also liked an english ipa when i was in last night, and think they are doing a good job across a pretty impressive range of styles. not sure i ever knew there was a back room in here, also an older building brick vibe, pool table back there, even a patio space, unless thats angry hanks next door. its bigger than i recall, but the brew system looks humble, especially for how many beers they have on tap and how many more bottles they offer to go, they must be working hard! i had a cool funky pear based sour, and wish i had time for more, they had a lot of cool sours to pick from, but the clean beer i had was good too. these guys are doing a good job on the beer side for sure, and i love all the funky bottles, graphics, price point, all of it. the service isnt really a thing here, its just an ordering counter at one edge of the bar, and it was fine, she was nice, but no table service, at least when i was in. i like the relaxed vibe, a good place to just post up and drink beer, everyone seemed into it, and they had a great crowd on a thursday evening too. arguably the best beer in town, certainly at that level, stoked i was able to check them out finally. the funky stuff is where its at!

The best place for beers in Billings along with Uberbrew. Especially if you like sours, saisons, and Belgian-style beers. Lineup constantly changes and happy hour is good.

New brewery so if things aren't up to snuff, that's probably why. Not that I'm complaining. All I really want is decent beer and not to be horribly inconvenienced. Both were adequately provided. Didn't have any food besides some chips so won't rate it.
