Reviewed from notes taken years ago in Bucharest, Romania (I think Summer 2014?). Served on-draught into a bierkrug at a bar. Cost was 9 lei for 400ml.
5.1% ABV.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: 1 finger in height. White in colour. Recedes fully within 30 seconds. Spotty inconsistent lacing clings to the sides of the glass as the head recedes.
BODY: Translucent nontransparent orange-copper colour of average vibrance. No yeast/lees/sediment is visible within.
Appears adequately carbonated. Has no egregious flaws.
AROMA: Banana, clove, wheat, barley, healthy vitamin-y yeast. A pleasant aroma of mild strength.
Lacks any overt off-notes or an overt alcohol presence.
TASTE: Banana, clove. healthy vitaminy yeast, wheat, barley (2-row). Balanced but simple.
Average depth, duration, and intensity of flavour. Not real intricate or subtle in its execution. I like it, but it leaves something to be desired.
TEXTURE: Smooth wet, fairly soft, medium-bodied, and well carbonated. Suits the taste okay. Doesn't feel custom-tailored to the beer's flavours and doesn't elevate the beer as a whole.
OVERALL: It's drinkable and enjoyable for the style. I like it and would get it again...it's a tasty albeit unimpressive unfiltered ale.
