Bought in Venice for 55 Eurocents, drank in Lucerne, Switzerland. Crystal clear, medium-golden in color with subtle peach accents, explodes into the glass, forming a large white sea-foam head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is fresh with cloves, bananas, fresh spicy hops, and a distant huskiness of caramunich malt. Despite the large head, carbonation is only moderate. Mouthfeel is rather soft with a lightly dry finish and medium body. Taste begins with spicy hops which are restrained in comparison to the phenols of the yeast strain. The middle is a continuation of the start, but has a little spiciness in the back of the throat. Alcohol is not noted, but there is a light yeastiness towards the finish, which has a subtle metal note and an even more subtle harsh toastiness that seems to be hidden in the better interpretations of the style. A good beer, nonetheless.
