Hops for Heroes was created in 2011 by craft breweries' desire to team up and support our men and women of the armed forces. The result of this desire is Homefront IPA, a beer aged on maple bats. This IPA does more than just quench your thirst, it improves the lives of our service members. All proceeds from the sale of Homefront IPA go to Soldiers' Angels
Homefront IPA is a traditional American IPA brewed with Cascade and Chinook hops and heaps of fresh orange zest. Because one of the founders of this initiative was a baseball player, the recipe has a fun twist: it’s aged on unfinished maple wood in the shape of baseball bats! Each year, Hops for Heroes breweries are sent maple bats to throw in the fermenter.
