I'm at the bar at Boston Mills in Peninsula, Ohio and it's early but I've been skiing a couple hours. They have this brew, which is from an Ohio U related brewer, not too strong. Perfect. I'll sip it.
It looks, in my plastic cup, like it could be a little thick but generally very repectable with some lacing and head. The aroma gives a hint of a bready stout coming. The taste is as advertised, oatmeal comes right through, followed by mocha. I like a well-named brew. It goes down cleanly, though it might be too much against some foods. It feels a bit bigger than it is, and that's ok.
Recommended. Sibling is on this Santa's good list. Nice!

Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Minimal head creation, maybe about a finger of classic tan colored head. Fine bubbles and leaving a fairly tall collar at least. Body color is a dark walnut brown, maybe even hinting red with a bit of fast rising carbonation.
Aroma is light sensing, and a little effervescent smelling. Touches of light milk chocolate, a bit of soft coffee like roast, and even a hint of heated coffee bean as well. Decent and light sensing but nice.
Palate is kind of a mix. First mid palate rush is more of a coffee nice bitterness, then reaching even some acrid very faint coffee sourness it seems on first sip. A bit more body and flavor continues though. Creamy sense of milk and a more nuttier finish, with sharp roast and almost tobacco like heat and bitterness to finish on the end. Hits with a more milkier and fuller body but manages a hair of watery texture as well.
There's a real mish mash of good and not I would say bad, but lacking would be more appropriate. Somewhere it balances out and just makes a decent enough drinking experience for an oatmeal stout.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of chocolate, oats, roasted malts. Taste is equal parts coffee and chocolate, very easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is a smooth and enjoyable beer.

Just tapped at Marilyn's on Morgantown. To be fair, we had the first draw, so it was a bit flat, foamy, and lukewarm.....
Smells of molasses and cinnamon... Smokey, vanilla and caramel.
Alcohol taste comes through. Strong vanilla up front. Smokey. Leah gets molasses and chocolate. Very nice smooth oatmeal feel.
Glad our bartender tapped this for us!

It's exactly what it says it is, an oatmeal stout with hints of coffee and chocolate. I appreciate it, but it's nothing extra special.

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours deep brown in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has short retention
S- smells of roasted barley, chocolate, fresh ground coffee, toasted nuts and a hint of vanilla cream
T- roasted malts complimented by notes of milk chocolate up front, followed by an earthy and nutty coffee note, as well as some caramel undertones. The finish gives more nutty chocolate with a hint of coffee on the linger
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that finishes almost flat
O- nutty, chocolaty coffee, solid stout

L: Darkest Dark, no head and just a bit of lace.
S: Chocolate malt and dark blend of coffee
F: Slight cream, no real bitter and wash like water. Aftertaste of slight coffee.
T: Slightly sweet. Oat center with chocolate background like instant pudding. Coffee and alcohol at he center and a little wine at the end. It does give a chewy impression.
O: It's good but it fits in the flavored porter/stouts that I've tried with too much other flavors. I wish for more coffee.

I tried this at Prohibition in Powell, OH. Poured an opaque dark with thin head that did not leave much lace. The scent had hints of earth, chocolate and roast. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate and peat presence. The mouthefeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.

Mild milk chocolate aroma, pours an opaque black with a thin tan head. Light bodied for an oatmeal stout, with a touch of chocolate, and very little coffee. There's a slight sweetness to it, and a mild bitter finish. Overall, not bad, but I would really like more body, and more coffee.

Having this beer on-tap. Served in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a very dark brown brown with a nice, creamy looking tan colored head that’s about half an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a nice, thick film layer of surface foam and a nice ring lining the inside of the glass along with some good lacing along the inside of the glass. Aromas of some roasted caramel malt sweetness along with some notes of chocolate and certainly mocha. The taste is very similar, with some somewhat bready, roasted, caramel malt sweetness along with strong notes of oats, chocolate, and just the right amount of mocha coffee. Has a touch of earthy hops that lend just the right amount of bitterness to give this some semblance of balance, but the sweet flavors do dominate the flavor profile overall, and that works just fine here. Has a slightly crisp, also smooth and frothy, also slightly syrupy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a slightly grainy finish, and a sweet aftertaste. A pretty good beer here.
