2019 vintage. Canned on 12/18/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a mahogany/auburn with ruby red hues; light khaki head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. Really nice color. The aromas are malt forward along with some dark fruits. Hints of caramel, toffee and vanilla. The flavors are pretty bold and on the bitter side. Strong bitterness and hop presence. More dark fruits. Some raisins and plums. Some cherries in the mix. It's not that sweet. Malts do their thing. Some alcohol notes along with a warmth in the finish. It's slightly hot, but not boozy. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and slightly thin. It drinks big, so I can't say this one is dangerously drinkable, but it becomes more balanced the more you get into it.

This is a pretty solid barleywine. I like it. It's on the hoppier side. It might start off a little rough around the edges, but everything quickly comes together. Although it's drinking just fine right now, I think this one would age really well.
