Canned on 12/9/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a deep amber with ruby red hues; small light khaki head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. Great color. The aromas are coffee forward. Some espresso aromas. Some vanilla cream. Mild hints of gingerbread. Some caramel. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose perfectly. More coffee leading the way. More vanilla and caramel. Hints of cocoa. Some coconut definitely coming through. Mild spice notes. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This beer was a pleasant surprise. It really is a great coffee beer. The coffee shines. Even though this is a "spiced beer", the spices definitely take a backseat and almost go unnoticed at times. Don't be afraid if you don't like "spiced beers". If you like coffee in your beer, this is a must try if you come across it. This is easily my favorite beer that I've had from Sibling Revelry, to date. The craftsmanship and execution is impressive. Well done.
