Pours a finger of creamy white head into my wheat glass. Retention is pretty good and a finger of head remains after a few minutes. Initial lacing looks pretty good. Body is a cloudy straw yellow, with a good amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty nice so far.
Nose is incredibly soft, creamy, fluffy; bursting with bready wheat malt, coriander, and clove. This smells wonderful.
Flavor leans a little bit more towards the spice side of things at first, with the bready malt hitting very hard in the finish along with notes of honey. This is really outstanding initially; over time the brightness fades and it gets a little musty. Still quite good.
Carbonation is on the higher side. Not thin, but definitely light bodied despite the big malt profile. Extremely crisp, but it does have a perceived sweetness. Bitterness is lowish. Overall a nice mouthfeel, not as pillowy as the flavor, but it still compliments it well.
Appearance turned out pretty nice. The head settled into a small film, and the lacing was decent.
Drinkability is wonderful. Despite the moderate sweetness, this still has a dry element, and certainly isn’t cloying.
Overall a very nice beer.
