Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, doughy malt and citrus/tropical hops, with some distinct floral and herbal undertones. Taste is a decent balance of biscuity doughy malt and fruity, floral, herbal and slightly resinous hops with citrus and lighter tropical notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple and papaya, as well as some pine coming through as well. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation
While this makes for a decent West Coast IPA, it's just way too floral, herbal and not quite bitter, resinous enough for my personal taste, while I also highly doubt the 100 IBU that are being claimed here, to be honest. While there are some nice grapefruit and pine notes to this, I'm not so keen on the tropical accents and that certain dill note, while this also feels a bit light and watery for such a big beer. While I wasn't a huge fan of the quite floral, herbal flavor profile here, I did like its dry and bitter character as well those resinous pine notes. The balance was just a bit off for me here, while body and mouthfeel could also have been fuller in my opinion.
