Copenhagen 29/2 2024. 50 cl can from Beer Me web-shop. Dark can with fuzzy yellow lines and then name and style of the beer.
Pours opaque dark brown with a bog light beige head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass.Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark, malty, roasted odor mingling with bitter coffee. Dark roasted malts, toffee and dark chocolate. Dry vibe.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Smooth with a nice dry and bitter touch.

Poured from 500mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 9/9/24.
Appearance: rich dark-brown hue with no real light let through the body -- I think there's a bit of haze in there. Head is a finger of pillowy tan foam that dissipated pretty quickly. The color is good, though.
Smell: simple, dry, roasty, a little bit toasty -- not complex, but a solid example of the style.
Taste: quite roasty, leaving an ashy, dry character, with only a little caramelly sweetness on the finish. I think I quite like this.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I feel like I just don't see all that many well-executed dry stouts these days. This is the first beer I've had from this Polish brewery, and I will be sure to see if I can find any others from them before I leave Europe. Solid beer, definitely worth picking up.
