Copenhagen 10/10 2021. 50 cl cn from Meny, Borup Allé, Fra. F. What look like liquid purple metal on a yellow green background. Could be a Power Metal record cover from the eighties.
Pours opaque, hazy pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit mingling with a prominent citric scent. Mango, pineapple. Turpentine. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Intense, bitter and dry Indian Pale Ale. The brewery calls it a session IPA - but I would say an ABV of 5,5 is hardly sessionable.
