Copenhagen 2/5 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Very crazy and very pink lines painted on the can. Coy tagline: Not just a Beer. It's THE Beer.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles a thin - almost transparent - layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with zesty, fresh citric fumes. Mango, peach and pineapple. More subdued grape fruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by an almost as strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite well-balanced DIPA with a rather modest presence of alcohol. Maybe not THE beer but perfectly pleasant.
