IMPERIAL FRUIT PASTRY BLACK GOSE. With this rezem we added 1200 kg of cherry pulp, huge amounts of vanilla, cocoa beans and cinnamon to the dark gose. To conquer the wow effect, we added milk sugar and Himalayan salt.

Copenhagen 27/4 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. What looks like hastily applied paint strokes in pink, orange and purple on the can.
Pours opaque, murky brown with a mid-sized, red-tinged beige head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a minute leaving an unhealthy looking dark substance with clumps of gunk floating around behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a heavy cake-like sweet odor mingling with lighter sour notes. Chocolate cake, lactose, brown sugar and hints of banana. Thin sour scent of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong, sugary sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a notable sour undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is a bit dry.
Well made but a quite strange notion to combine a pastry beer with a Gose. Slightly too much pastry for my taste buds.
