Just grabbed a four pack of this, so it looks to not be retired. Most likely it's just a rotating beer with different fruit additions, as their website leads me to believe. Anyway, this is a 4.2% session ale with lemon and lime.

Pours a pale yellow color with a good bit of haze and a surprisingly dense and wonderfully-built head that leaves behind some streaky lace as it settles to about a finger in my glass. Really nice looking stuff here, well-structured and "NEIPA"-ish for sure with a retentive cap of foam to top it off.

The nose is way hoppier than expected. The can says nothing about this beer being an IPA, but their site calls it a "session IPA," which I found interesting and maybe a little odd; I feel like there is a good segment of the market that wouldn't buy this if they knew it were hop-forward as opposed to just being a fruited wheat ale or something, but whatever. I get a lot of pithy citrus, of course, but also some pine, passion fruit, guava, and papaya flesh here. Honestly, really nice smelling beer here. I expected it to be straight-up lemon-lime, almost like a radler or something, but this is... yeeeep, definitely more like a session IPA.

Nice and crisp on the tongue with a crisp, almost-crackery pale malt base crowded out with grassy and fruity hops in the mid-palate. Almost tastes like liquid Fruity Pebbles at times. Crushable, for sure, and really fun to drink. I think the body may be a tad heavier than I'd like, but overall this is worth grabbing for plenty of warm weather situations, and it's hoppy enough to not just be boring, sweet, or overly-fruited, so consider those fears allayed if you had them. I really like the flavorful lime addition here... it feels just tart enough to work with the cereal-like malt backbone, and it melds with the bright, punchy hops that come out more toward the finish. Speaking of which, this finishes pretty dry and surprisingly crisp for a heavier-bodied session beer. That might not be everyone's thing, especially considering the hopping rate seems a little heavy-handed at times, and leads to some slight balance issues, but I feel that might be nitpicking. Pick this one up if you like citrusy, hoppy session beers, and you probably won't be disappointed!

my first from these guys, who have recently burst on the scene here in boise, seeing a number of different cans all over the market. this is a session type, hoppy sure, but also done up with natural lemon and lime, and really its very cohesive, drinkable, fresh, distinctive, and good. i immediately wished i had gotten the four pack instead of the single can, i will know for next time. way better than its ratings here, light but not boring, thats hard to do. the lemon and lime are about equal with each other in nose and taste, no real acidity from them at all, but lots of their zest and oily character through the whole drink, super compatible with the hops, which might be citra, and certainly seem to be primarily in a dry hop, as there is no bitterness or bite to this at all, despite it being in the ipa realm. massively carbonated makes it almost drink like a soda with the fruit, but there is enough pale earthy malt underneath to keep it just on the right side of the line. really flavorful but also mellow to drink, great union of the hops and the citrus, and overall an awesome summer pounder. this has me really stoked to try more of the lone pine beers, high quality and distinctive in a tricky style, well done!

A-Looks like Ginger Ale, with a slight head that dissipated quickly. Very unique.
S-As advertised. Pithy citrus with some hop presence
T-Bitter and hoppy like an IPA, sessionable with no sweet and a fair amount of tart which fits with the lemon lime.
M-Light body, above average carbonation, a little oily with dry finish like an IPA not a fruited sour.
O-Different, unique, interesting, not something I would rush out to buy more of.

Pours slightly hazy, bright yellow in color with one inch head. Taste is lemon, lime, and earthy hops. Light bodied, clean, bitter with high carbonation. Loads of flavor for the abv. Makes for a solid pale ale. Several others I would turn to first but worth a try.

16 oz. can.
Canned 10/31/19.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a slightly hazy, light straw colored body (think lemonade!) with some lacing. Nose of lemon and lime. Taste mirrors nose very closely with a finish of lemon/limeade. Good feel and overall, a great refreshing thirst quencher for summertime!
Cheers!

A: Pours a lightly hazy yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap

S: Lemon and lime zest up front along with some citrusy backing hops. Malt decently present as well

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of malt, citrusy hip, and the lemon and lime zest. Good balance. Finishes with lingering zest

M: Light-Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Clean

O: A solid sessionable brew that highlights the citrus. Very easy to drink. Good flavor for 4.2%. Worth a try
