16 oz. can,
Canned 01/30/21.

Moderate pour yields a one inch slightly off white head over a hazy light golden body with sticky lacing. Nose is quite floral from the Ella hops, dank from the Vic Secret, and citrus from the Pacific Jade. Flavors of pineapple, citrus, and a bit of spiced earthiness with a finish of citrus pith and a bit of pine. Very nice and quite a unique offering all around with a very nice feel. Overall, I'd recommend this to any DIPA drinker and cheers to Lone Pine for another worthy (Michael) experience!

From a pint can marked LPDIA1/2-BZ 08/14/20

Pours into my tulip glass an opaque dirty straw shade with a large creamy white head. Fluffy lace on the glass.

Scent is pineapple and citrus and it jumps out as soon as I pop the can. Yeasty sour dough tang.

Taste is citrus and tropical fruits with a sour dough bread note. Finish shows some lime. A touch of spicy and even mildly dank pungent hop notes as I progress through the glass. Very light malt bill of course but that sour dough bread note is really a great counterpart to the tropical and citrus hops.

Mouthfeel is creamy with a soft carbonation.

Overall a very good DIPA. Love the tangy sour dough.

From a can into a Sam Adams beer glass. Tastes fresh and lively with some tropical fruit sweetness that lingers in the finish. Initial bite of bitterness is resinous; piny with herbal and black tea notes. I'm happy to have tried this and wouldn't turn it down.

Unfortunately this was an old can but I wanted to give this one a shot: still very decent at three months old. Beautiful hazy pour from a 16oz can, with a creamy and fluffy off white head; malty sweetness on the nose, impressions of ripe fruit flesh, tropical fruit bowl; mango; resiny bitterness; bready malt sweetness.

Excellent beer from Lone Pine.
Vic Secret, Ella, and Pacific Jade. Pine, citrus, melon with a smooth, ,malty MF. Excellent head retention. Light pear color in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Robust hoppy finish. Definitely check it out if available.

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is hazy yellow with a half-finger of whitish head on top.

S: Nice nose of juicy hops: citrus, tropical fruit (some pineapple) and apricot/peaches. Really nice.

T: Taste isn't as good as the nose, but it's still really nice. Tropical fruity and citrusy hops - think pineapple orange juice. Some white grape hints as well - grape skins - makes me think of Nelson hops. Also a touch of blueberries makes me wonder if there's Mosaic in the bill. Finishes with a nice bitterness that at times makes me think of pine needles, while at other times reminds me of grapefruit or lemon peel. Hint of heat on the finish.

M: Juicy, and somehow manages to be both sticky and dry at the same time. Good feel for a NE DIPA (albeit a lighter DIPA).

O: Good stuff. I like Oh - Jay (my first beer of theirs) better, but this is solid - a completely different hop bill, and they've done a nice job with it.

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a dull, murky orange hue with a loose, quarter inch, off-white head that slowly dissipates towards the edges leaving a soapy slick across the center. Nice nose - big burst of citrus and pith followed by some delicate tropical fruit notes. Taste follows nose, with the addition of an earthy/herbal bite that cuts through the flavor profile. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an assertive carbonation that leaves a light prickle on the tongue. Overall, solid example of the style. Well worth your time if the opportunity arises.
