this is quite good on a number of levels. the color is gorgeous, hazy rose pink to soft red in the glass, looks festive and pretty, and the head is high and white and thick almost nitro looking, so many kettle sour types appear flat in the glass, but not this one, lovely. the nose is tart raspberries, super real and ripe, and the acidity of the base beer is on par with that of the fruit, so they compliment each other well, and its quite obvious that the lactic souring is real clean and professionally done, nothing smelly or sweaty about it, just a little citrus pop with it that also serves to accent the fruit. the flavor is juicy raspberry with a little jammy sweetness accompanying, tangy all the way, but with just enough wheaty malt pushing through to keep this at least sort of beery. dried on the finish, a white wine note to it, a little farmy character as well, like an almost saison ester to the ferment behind the sourness, very pleasant. the body is lighter than it looks, the carbonation is great, and it ends up being a very real and true expression of raspberry. simple but effective, well made stuff, more summer than winter, good to see some draft around from these guys, hopefully it keeps coming! this is better than most in this field, could drink several, not too sour for that...

Had on tap. Pours clear, pink in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is raspberry sorbet. Light bodied with high carbonation. Makes for a nice and refreshing easy to drink beer. I prefer others in the style, but this is solid.

A: The beer is clear dark pinkish red in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high pink head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of raspberry purée are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderate flavors of raspberry purée along with a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and faintly tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is hardly sour at all and is more like a fruit beer with lots of aromas and flavors of raspberries.

16 oz. can
Canned 10/11/19.
Moderate pour yields a nearly one inch light pink head over a pink body with scant lacing. Nose of raspberry and a bit of lemon. Taste of tart raspberry throughout and finishing with a little tart citrus as well as the tart raspberry. Medium carbonation for a nice feel and overall, this would be a great crushable (at 4.8% abv.) summer refresher.
Cheers to a tasty offering from Portland!
