Only the slightest haze inside the lager like golden yellow color liquid. White foam cap holds on tight.

A small addition of rye malt gives off a slightly spicy and herbal kick to the nose. Otherwise, it's stone fruit and peppery pineapple style hop aromatics.

A golden malted grains and rye give it a fun malt kick right off. Dense hop complexity is a funky mix of fruitiness and boozy pineapple with watercress. The unique three way hop strains definitely give this some bonus points for being interesting.

The malt gives this a round, almost flabby feel, medium bodied that some would call smooth... I call it flabby, but not too off puting. Snappy enough right off, but quickly becomes round.

Overall, I'm a fan, unique hop flavor's with a subtle rye kick makes it extra fun.

From the can, it pours a brassy golden color with visible carbonation. A thumb nail length foam head retains well.

A hoppy nose evokes stone fruit notes of peach, apricot, and nectarine. Aromas of honey and biscuity malts along with bright notes of citrus and tropical fruit.

The taste is dominated by a hops burst of juicy stone fruit amidst honey and biscuity malt sweetness. This is balanced by piney hops, peppery spices and a resiny bitterness. Flavors of grapefruit, orange pith, lime, pineapple, peach and apricot. The finish is dry, resiny and bitter.

Medium bodied with a juicy mouthfeel that is tempered by prickly herbal spices. The carbonation is moderate.

Solid DIPA all around. Nice juicy and herbal hops character along with a solid malt base. I would like to have this again.

Opaque deep gold pour with clarity under three fingers of rocky white foam; good cap retention, medium heavy lacing. Nose is lemon grass, grapefruit and pine. Lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, pine, black pepper; light bitterness, firm malt base. Medium minus body, moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 7.8% abv, no astringency; dry finish (rye malt addition?). Overall, very enjoyable and drinkable; balanced between hop bitterness and malt; another barely hazy that tics very few NIPA boxes - I like!

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is somewhat hazy yellow-golden with a small white head on top.

S: Good nose of tropical fruit, clementine oranges, lemon and Sweet-tart candies.

T: Follows the nose, with tropical fruity hops up front - pineapple, melon rind - followed by citrus (grapefruit, orange peel, lemon). Also some brown sugary sweetness noted.

M: Drinks like an Imperial IPA - pretty thick in feel and modestly syrupy. Finishes a little chalky.

O: It's good, but not great.

Contract brewed in Boston. Canned 7-15-2020. Can't get a lot fresher in a can.
Slightly hazy, golden in color. Dense white head with good retention and lacing.
Aroma is tangerines and lemon cough drops. Some sweet white sugar and honey whiffs but it really reminds me of orange Sweet Tarts.
Initial flavor is lemon candy ( Lemonheads! ) with definite sweetness on the lips but just as quick it's replaced with tart, citrus and almost sour hop flavors. The body is way too thin to stand up to this hop assault. No residual malt sweetness or character to balance the sharp and astringent acidity. Very one dimensional. Some light malt sweetness eeks it's way in 1/2 way through as it warms more but too little too late.
Despite being barely medium bodied it finishes like a Dbl IPA - warm alcohol and peppery hop burn in the throat lingers and makes me forget I wasn't crazy about it before I swallowed.
I have had contract brews that were good and faithful renditions of the original, but by far most were not. I've never had the Maine breweries version so I can only wonder about this one.

Pours hazy, gold in color with 3/4 inch head. Taste is big pineapple, lychee, and tangerine. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, juicy, slightly bitter. A great juice bomb. Might be the best Lone Pine beer I have had to date.

A: The beer is rather hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles coating the surface and the sides of the glass after it died down.
S: Moderate aromas of eucalyptus and lime are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of lime and stone fruit along with notes of gooseberry and pear. Little, if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With the juiciness, lack of bitterness and traces of alcohol, this beer seems like it is a hybrid of an American Imperial IPA and a New England IPA. It hides any traces of alcohol rather well. It is quite easy to drink.

A really well made NEDIPA....looks like hazy golden neipa with a decent head that quickly dissipates with spotty lacing....smells of tropical citrus and strawberry...taste of pineapple grapefruit guava a little pepper and grassy at the end....feels is very soft silky and smooth. Overall this is a solid NEDIPA...with such a high abv after a few i’ll Feel like I’m shreddin an axe in space!

4th review, my first from Lone Pine, ME.
a) Solid NE look with thick lasting cap and shards of lace.
s) This aroma is among the largest, most floral, almost soapy, but not quite, chalky, flowery, perfumed.
t) Follows the aroma but comes back to earth with notes of biscuit, pine, grass, lemon, Slight soap.
f) Thinnish, slightly citric/soapy.
o) Wow'd by an original NE DIPA. Weird and complex and the flower king!
