From a can with a smudged date that looks like Jan 2022. Sampled April 15, 2022.
The appearance is right on with its dark brown to near black color under a fading, soft mocha head.
The aroma is all about chocolate malts, cocoa, maybe vanilla, cream, and milk. There is a vague earthy tone too.
Light-medium mouthfeel.
Sweet chocolate malts are forward with a notable presence of lactose or cream. Mildly dry finish.

Nice beer, had this one chilling in the fridge for a little bit and it was good with nice chocolate, plentiful vanilla (though definitely extract), with a combined nuttiness from the waffle cone and peanut extract. The bitter seems to say around a bit and the vanilla extract is a bit prominent.

lots to like about this one, despite the fact that it sucks how the adjuncts have taken over the stout category almost entirely these days. this is cool because there is no barrel, it doesnt need one, the lactose doesnt take this to diabetes land, and the peanut aspect, which seems like powdered peanut butter to me, is rather subtle, meaning the worst parts of this do not dominate it, as so often happens with this. the big question for me was always can i taste the waffle cone, and i sure can, love that, definitely a toasted belgian waffles and honey thing happening, that ice cream shop sweetness in the air, an awesome feature. the chocolate part is more dark than milk to me which i appreciate for contrast, and it works predictably well with the roasted malt in this, thankfully enough bitterness there for this to maintain some semblance of balance. the vanilla is natural but also not overdone, and seems to work like an exclamation mark on the waffle cone piece. dont love the peanut, but its all at the end, and its not too big a distraction. i dont want a ton of this, am thankful to be sharing the can, and in the end i like it as much for what its not as for what it is. enjoyable, but a novelty for me, and i continue to lament this direction for the category. still, lone pine continues to do better than a lot of others, both here and in other common trendy styles. judged against most of the rest of these, this is superior...

Dark brown pour from a 16oz can, nearly opaque in the glass with a small mocha-colored head. Nutty, chocolate-sweet profile all around; sweet, with plenty of creamy chocolate, dark roasty characteristics, vanilla sweetness, and peanuts/peanut butter. A good sweet stout, not obnoxiously cloying like some other pastry stouts.

A: Pours a dark brown/mahogany color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, peanuts, caramel, lactose, and some sweet waffle cone
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the roasted malt, dark chocolate, peanuts, and vanilla. Picks up some caramel, sweet malt/ waffle cone, lactose, and cocoa. Finishes with lingering roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, and peanuts
M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A solid dessert stout that makes for a nice sipper. Definitely resembles choco tacos (the ice cream dessert) so a good job there. Worth checking out

A lovely tan head sits over a a very dark brown body. Very sweet aroma: milk chocolate, caramel, malt & alcohol. Lots of lactose sweetness. Flavors: milk chocolate, coffee, lactose, vanilla, malted grain, a hint of peanut butter & a surprising amount of alcohol for only 8%. Thick & smooth with some alcohol heat. An excellent imperial stout.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big milk and baker's chocolate, vanilla, and ice cream cone. Medium heavy body, low carbonation, sweet and roasty. Nice sweet stout that is never cloying. Interesting, would get again.

16 oz. can.
Canned 02/23/21.
Moderate pour yields a one and a half inch tan head over a near black body with sticky lacing. Nose of bitter chocolate, milk chocolate, cocoa powder, slight vanilla, and slight peanut butter. Taste is where the peanut butter comes forward a bit with the vanilla extract lagging behind until the stout warms. So, chocolate foremost followed by peanut butter, vanilla, and waffle cones. Nice feel and a pleasant experience overall; not too sweet, not too strong and quite tasty.
Cheers to our friends at Lone Pine Brewing Company for this one!!!
