Aroma really jumps with strong cat piss and citrus hops. Taste is really well balanced with juicy hops that push to a slight bitter finish, with a nice chewy body and sweet malt balance. Really well made beer.

It smells so citrussy and truly just smells like there's orange juice in the can. So citrus and sweetness dominate.
Initially there is bitterness coupled with a very different sweetness.
It is thin with moderate carbonation. The finish is both fruity like a citrus fruit and then a long bitterness.
Overall, it's fantastic. It's juicy and bitter. The flavors of sweetness, of malts and the bitterness and acidity of hops balance out perfectly. I give it a 5.2 out of 6.

A - Opaque medium to dark golden yellow color with thin white bubbly lacing.
S - Grapefruit and citrus dominate the nose.
T - Peach, pithy sweet red grapefruit, citrus rind, and spicy melon.
M - Big medium body that's bone dry on the back of the tongue while the roof of the mouth waters.
O - Strong peppery citrus rind, even at six weeks out. This is impressive.

Apparently, this is closely akin to the highly regarded Oh-J, a New England Style offering from the same brewer. This one pours out of a pint can with a murky straw-amber color and a modest, but enduring white head. A wonderful NEIPA aroma exudes from the mouth of the clear glass Imperial pint mug, its temporary destination. It brings the tasty elements of the style, the malt and softened hops, in a pronounced way. There are references to earthiness, citrus and tropical fruit. Very well bodied, this is a pleasure from the first hit on the taste buds. Of course, there's a mildly sweet start that quickly gets overcome by the hops. They appear like the nose predicted. There's a tropical fruit aspect that flows into a citrusy one, both with an emerging earthy bite that becomes prominent during the finish. All along, the body is so smooth, it goes down too quickly to savor, unless attention is drawn to that indulgence. It's so smooth, it slides down the inside of the glass, leaving almost no lacing. The ABV adds only another taste layer, without impacting the mouthfeel at all. A side by side tasting with Oh-J would be fun, if both become available in the area simultaneously.
