Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 10/29/24.
Appearance: pale golden-yellow hue with a super thick & murky haze, topped by a finger of frothy ivory foam. Turbid!
Smell: sweet malt with kind of a dank passionfruit character and some other, lighter notes of citrus and tropical fruits. Nice.
Taste: the malt is sweet, with a kind of bready character. Hops are a bit sharp -- kind of like bitter citrus peel. The passionfruit is in there, too, but is kind of subsumed under the sharpness.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a moderate carbonation and a nice smoothness.
Overall: I don't love the sharp character that's going on here. It could be hop variety, or it could be the age of this can -- it's a few months old and may be past its prime. I've had plenty of IPAs hold up over four months, though, so, I don't think age is entirely to blame here.
