Dark Truce Wild Dark Wheat Ale

Lone Pine brewed two barrel aged Wild Ales. This one is "aged on Black Currants". The other one features cherries. I poured this beer from a 12.7 oz amber bottle into a flute glass. Lots of carbonation through the body but almost no head or lacing. Medium brown color, fairly dense, with golden light shining through when held to a light. Aroma and taste feature dark fruit (the currants and maybe some raisins), some mild wheat bitterness from the oak barrels and plenty of tart sourness. Flavor is very good!!! Mouthfeel is tart, very nicely sour with good carbonation. An excellent beer!!!
