Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a lightly hazed yellow-straw color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast, leaving a decent level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a coriander aroma mixed with notes of apricot and some peach. Along with these smells comes some light orange peel and notes of clove and yeast, and hints of white pepper and a hint of banana.
Taste -The taste begins with a smooth cracker malt mixed with notes of wheat and grain and a good showing of coriander and yeast. Along with these flavors comes some pepper and clove as well as a little it of herb and orange/grapefruit citrus. There is some sweetness of apricot and peach as well as a touch of banana, which fad as the taste advances. A little bit of ginger joins in later on, leaving one with a rather smooth and easy natured wit taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is light to medium in thickness and creaminess with a moderate carbonation level. Overall, good for the style and makes for a very easy sipper.
Overall – A nice easy drinking wit with lots of flavor. A nice drinker.

been a fan of this style of white ale(witbier), picked it up @ local Hannafords/NH quite a foamy white head and what a smell.. It has many of the attributes I enjoy about the white Allagash-hoegaarden-Sam Adams holiday-Old fezziwig orange peel-corriander white style ales but I like the zipped up peppery spice mouthful, not overpowering but a pretty good session ale for the colder times of the year but I'll drink this any time actually.. I'll be checking out this Maine brewery an "A" list for me!!

Smell-wise it opens up with a huge plume of molasses and cinnamon scents. I rarely notice how beer smells when I crack it open unless I have my nose in it (which is never) but I noticed this one. Taste basically follows suit--you get plenty of mild peppery spice notes, subtle orange peel, etc, but overall it's very smooth and malty and hums with this overwhelming cinnamon/molasses-like sweetness. Very carbonated, which is a good choice because it adds some perceived fluffy lightness to the beer. A lot less subtle than Allagash White, but almost as good.

Winter Carnival Lone Pine Brewing Company Winter Ale
A very clean spiced up white ale. It has all of the best attributes for the style: clean and crisp, then soft. Spicy and pepper blend with a kick, wonderful earthy aftertaste. Belgian sour style yeast but clean AF and crazy easy to drink.
