I am so far behind, on tap at the source on a motorcycle trip this summer.

16oz can. No dating information found. Information on the label is "Unfiltered, unpasteurized.".
Black colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of fluffy tan head, and this becomes islands and a ring. Leaves behind a few lacing spots.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, which express molasses, espresso, char, and anise.
Taste is solidly bitter and dry, with flavors of dark roasted malts, char, espresso, and a bit of chocolate. Long drawn out aftertaste which is black and dry.
Medium mouthfeel. Initially wet, and then dries out the entire mouth, but still delivers flavor. Good carbonation.
Each sip tries to wet the mouth but ultimately fails. A water chaser helps.

The beer is very dark brown, approaching black. A two inch, dark chestnut head is dense and creamy before slowly settling, yet never completely dissipating. A thick coating of lace is left on the Harp nonic glass. When put to the light, dark, reddish-mahogany highlights become visible.
The aroma is rich with dark roasted malt and chocolate. Warmth mellows the malt to a mild char.
The flavor follows the nose with nice bitterness and a long dry finish.
The alcohol is as expected, as is the creamy carbonation. It has a medium to full body and a coarse wool texture.
This could be suitable as an all day session beer to enjoy with conversation.
