1/3 of all bread in the U.S. is wasted
Our award-winning beer is brewed using unsold loaves from bakeries. With a slice of fresh surplus bread in each can and all profits poured into the charity Feedback to end food waste, TOAST is the best thing since ... well, you know.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned 5/14/18.
A: Pours a modestly hazy, dark golden/light amber color, looking like antique bronze with beautiful golden highlights. Very robust head formation leaving a one and a half inch, foamy-foamy, off white head with solid retention and rings of lacing.
S: Aromas largely citrus (grapefruit/tangerine), pine, and caramelized sugar.
T: Tastes certainly follow nose, with a strong emphasis on the caramel maltiness and the addition of tutti-fruity, canteloupe and sugar cane.
M: Light to medium bodied with strong persistent effervescence. A little sick on the palate.
O: Essentially follows the same game plan as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with Centennial, Cascade, and Chinnook hops. I like the brewing concept and found the execution to be playfully drinkable. Packaging a bit unnecessarily generic; reminds me of how generic BEER was packaged (not a positive memory, but perhaps I date myself). That said, I am interested in seeing how Toast's other offerings stack up.
