Served on tap in a .5l glass.
The beer is cloudy and dark brown with a rocky tan head. The head sticks around throughout the session and leaves behind plenty of lace.
The first whiff has hints of cocoa, even some smoke and a subtle sweetness. This is not exactly what I'm used to finding with this style but the aroma is quite appealing.
The flavor has a light hint of cocoa, roasted malt, some clove and banana but both are very faint. As it warms there is a doughy, dark bread flavor. Very appealing.
A little off the standard style but this is an excellent beer.
