$13 NZD per 500ml pint on-draught @ Smiths Craft Beer House, Queenstown, New Zealand.
"Hazy." 6% ABV. Hopped with El Dorado and Amarillo.
Orange, creamsicle, citrus fruit flesh, orange juice/pulp. I don't get much from the Amarillo; the El Dorado really shines but I'm not tasting Amarillo's usual resinous flavour at all but I do get some juicy melon and maybe tangerine?
Juicy and soft yet light to medium-bodied; this has good presence on the palate. Smooth, wet, refreshing. The juiciness of the mouthfeel accentuates the juicy flavours of the hops.
A better expression of a turbid IPA than most I've tried from the U.S. Leave it to the Kiwis to outdo the Americans with their own hops.
So drinkable it's silly. One of the better executed turbid IPAs I've tried in all of Australasia.
B+ / VERY GOOD
