Pours dark brown with a red eclipse into a glass from a bottle. Beige head is simply surface froth which lingers.
Aroma is pure milk chocolate; as in, the one of the most creamy and chocolatey stouts I've ever come across. There is a layer of coffee underneath the cocoa definitely turning this into a mocha. It is very rich smelling without going overboard, like sticking one's head into the chocolate tub.
The flavour is pretty much bang on in alignment with the aroma; milk chocolate, cream, roasted coffee, lactose and vanilla. There is a hint of flavoured syrup about this, the type you get in your Frappuccino, which puts me on the fence with this.
The standout thing about this stout is the body. It's on the full side of medium but it's flat as a tyre which gives the illusion of fullness. I usually hate an overcarbonated stout but this isn't quite doing it for me either. I feel like it needs a little more.
Overall it certainly does what it says on the tin; more chocolate than you can shake a stick at and - although flat - quite smooth and pleasant.
