At first taste and smell I was reminded of Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. However, the more I tasted, the more complex this ale is. I poured from a 16 oz. can into a beer glass. Big head and lots of lacing. Citrusy smell, followed by a definite hop bitterness and citrus notes. There are some subtle notes of orange as well. Overall, a nice satisfying ale.

16oz can into a 16oz glass in Bloomington/Normal, IL.
L: Pours a lightly clouded amber w/a creamy 1" off white head, very good retention, good carbonation, some sticky lacing & banding.
S: Orange, pineapple, mango, quite floral, a hint of dankness, subtle perfume.
T: Lightly tropical, lightly assertive bitterness, grains, earthy hops, gentle malts, a sensation of light sweet bread.
F: Crisp, semi-juicy med-light bodied mouth feel w/a fast drying finish. There is a slight linger.
O: A very interesting pale ale with bold flavors that come & go quickly leaving a dry finish. Nicely balanced and pleasant tasting. Also great straight from the can. It is very good in it's style.
