Had on cask. Brown head and speckling to the lighter black body. Aromas of cocoa, toasted malt, slight roast and earth. Notes of burnt caramel, cocoa, roasted malt, malt, and drier yeast dot the taste. Feel is dry and so smooth with roast, yeast and malt textured abiding, a touch thin, appropriately light.

I had this on cask 7/26/25 @ the Beer Temple.
Dark brown appearance.
HUGE eggshell-colored head; minimal lacing remained.
Chocolate, acorn & wood notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thin (?!) mouthfeel.
Bitter chocolate & acorn flavors up front; wood notes on the finish.
A bit thin perhaps, but flavorful. I'd have another.

This is a dark beer with a thin foamy head that lingers when poured. It smells of coffee and the taste definitely shares that. You also get a woody almost smokey aftertaste thats not too harsh, bitter, or sweet. Very light carbonation that does not give much of a bite at all. Overall decent for a casual brew.

Pours a dark reddish brown like watered down molasses. Has a very light tan head that sticks to the glass and is around the whole time you're drinking it. It has very subtle hints of dark chocolate and coffee in the nose followed by a carmel or burnt sugar finish. The taste has that somewhat dark chocolate taste but none of the bitterness. It's very slightly sweet and goes down incredibly smoothly. Overall a good beer and an awesome session beer I could drink a ton of these.
