Appearance - Definiately Black - Hold it up to the light and there is a small bit of red-brown light that gets through, but not much. Light brown head that sticks around for a while. Light lacing on glass.
Smell - A bit of a roast/smoky smell as well as sweet chocolate malts and hint of hops.
Taste - Somehow these flavors don't quite seem to add up. First comes the smoke and carbonation, then it is followed by light chocolate that somehow seems out of place with the carbonation.
Mouthfeel - OK, but doesn't really do that much for me
Drinkability - Somehow it seems as this beer promises more than it delivers. In spite of this, it is a decent Porter that tries to actually be something.
