Had to do legwork on this one... Brewed by Traverse for Beaver Island, which is now defunct. Pours out to a medium orange color with a small head of white foam. Some lacing in the glass. Aromas are weak, but hints of grain and hops are present. Taste... hmmmm. It's hard to really say if this is fresh or not. Very sour notes of malt, some cereal grain, hops. Not wonderful. Mouthfeel is ok, has some feel of thickness about itself. Not the most drinkable beer either. I'd like to have a confirmed fresh sample to compare it too...
