This poured an golden straw yellow with a mdeium foamy white head, which dissapates slowly.
The nose is what I would expect from a larger Austrian pils; hoppy and grassy first with mild malt hints.
The taste is a refreshing balance of grassy hops and sweet malts and a very mild doughy eyasty taste. The feel is refreshing and well-carbonated, with a lingering pleasant sweetness.
Overall a great versatile beer to shaer with friends or have with dinner.

Sampled while on a ski vacation in Austria, this one comes in a standard brown half liter bottle with a red, white and gold label with barley, a glass and a mallet above the name. Purity law applies. Best before 6/6/5, I opened it on 2/23/05.
Pours clear gold under a two finger white head with nice contour and good lace. The nose has a good combination of malt and hops, fairly mild and a touch metallic (but in a good way). The mouth is light and fairly prickly. Solid yet plain, we start with a decent malt opening, slightly sweet and a bit bready. This is followed by a mild hops bitter finish, leaving a fairly dry aftertaste. Sure, it's drinkable, but there's nothing special here.
