I never thought this would be this good! And for about 40-50 cents!
It is very much a nice and drinkable lager, and even though it is a bit lower on the ABVs you don’t feel there is any room for more. This is just all too good. Not like a light beer, much more like a “session lager?” Once you start feeling the aroma, it turns into a “marzen light” because of that malt sweetness and hop intensity - a good sign to me that this beer knows better than it looks like. Might be one of the cheapest beers around but I have seen (and drank) much worse for much more. Way to go, Pittinger! If they only revamped the design of the can could help to step up their game.

.5L emptied into a Pokal.
A: Pours light gold with a 1-finger white head which fades to a thin ring. Spotty lacing.
S: Pale malt, mild hops, lemon.
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
T: Sweet malt with just a dash of hops (extract). Rough, metallic midrange with a bitter sour finish and lemony aftertaste.
D: Drinkable, but just barely. This is a budget brew by Egger for the SPAR supermarket chain in Austria. A favorite among the destitute of Vienna. I felt just a bit conspicuous by purchasing this, but I took one for the team...
