Ordering beer on a train can be wrecked with misfortune, but I thought what the hell. Vienna to Salzburg, let's try something. No styles I care for, so this was the closest to something. Pours nice enough, hazy orange with some head retention. The nose is of some malt, maybe hops and yeast. Very dry beer, with the nose translating to the body. It's a lager/ale mix of some insignificance. There I have it. Could have been worse.

Had this on tap at a restaurant in Vienna. Pours a hazy light apricot color with a big, foamy white head. Head retention is excellent and there is thick foamy lacing on the glass. Aroma is fairly mild, malty and a little fruit flavor. Taste is more robust, strong malty background, a little wheat bitterness in the finish and a little fruit/apple juice presence. The flavor held up well with my goulash lunch. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. This one was a winner!!!
