i have driven by here a million times but never had the occasion to stop in, but today was that day. its a taproom like so many others, tucked into a plaza in a developing part of town, diner type furniture, some reclaimed wood, and a small patio, nothing particularly remarkable about the space, but the layout is nice, the patio comfortable, and the energy mellow, a few televisions play sports, but that isnt the focus. the bar is in the back and they had a nice selection when i was in, more hoppy styles than anything else, but a kolsh, a pumpkin ale, and a few other randoms populated their list. i liked a brut ipa really well, and a hoppy kolsch a little less so, but both beers i had were solid, ahead of the curve even, and i was intrigued by a few more but ran out of time to try them. open air feel, dog friendly, food truck outside, and prompt and attentive friendly service. i think in this city, in this day and age, the beer not the taproom has to set you apart, and that is definitely what they appear to be working towards here. nice place to pass some time on a saturday afternoon, i will be back.
