CRAK Brewery "New England IPA"
400ml can, "Best before" date is illegible.
€6 @ Pub da Aldo, Venezia, IT
Notes: Cloudy yellow body beneath a tall head of white foam. Aroma delivers some hop resins along with pineapple, peach, tangerine, mango, and a light touch of citrus pith. The flavor adds in some nondescript citrus, passion fruit, and papaya. Basic, gently sweet and doughy malt base. Limited bitterness but dry, hoppy finish. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation, and silky feel (did they use oats?). Surprisingly good NEIPA coming out of Italy.

400 ml can Il Punto, Bologna - Pours light hazy with a medium white foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - Huge hoppy front - citrus - grapefruit/mandarin, tropical fruits - mango/peach, Taste - Follows aroma, juicy citrus and tropical notes, light bitter finish. Solid NEIPA.

Hazy pale golden color with off-white head. Aroma has herbal, dank hops with overripe tropical fruits. Taste is hoppy and fruity with sweet malts in the background. Some white grapes and a light leafy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall quite good but the sweet and dank combo is not my favorite profile for an IPA.
