Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/citrus notes of honeydew melon, papaya and lime, with just a hint of a certain herbal accents as well. Taste is a great balance of biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal and earthy hops, with tropical and citrus notes of quite strong honeydew melon and lighter papaya, and lime, as well as some lemongrass also coming through. Finishes with a light bitterness and some honeydew melon and lime lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a somewhat unique New England IPA that really showcases Cashmere's melon character rather impressively, with some quite expressive honeydew melon notes that are backed up by zesty citrus and lighter herbal accents. That quite sweet honeydew melon taste did take some getting used to and is honestly not quite to my personal taste, but this still makes for an impressive showcase of Cashmere hops that is very enjoyable for what it is, with a very nice mouthfeel as well.
