Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and berry hops, with notes of white grape and gooseberry. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, slightly grassy hops, with vibrant berry notes of white grape and gooseberry. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some white grape and gooseberry lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
It's been a while since I had a proper Nelson Sauvin NEIPA and this one surely scratches that itch indeed, Nelson Sauvin being one of my favorite hop varieties. The typical flavor profile of the hop really comes out very nicely here, with some quite vibrant and distinct white grape and gooseberry notes dominating here, adding a certain, slightly acidic zing to the good bitterness in the finish. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable single-hopped IPA that really captures the spirit of Nelson Sauvin perfectly, thus being rather aptly named. There also isn't a hint of the ABV to this, drinking almost dangerously easily.
