A- Love the artwork on the label.....this Foreign Extra pours very much like tar or used oil lol...the color is great....dark brown, cola-like. The head is beautiful as well with a coffee milk colored fine looking dense patchwork of film. The lacing is oily and leaves a coating around the inside of the glass and of course the carbonation is too hard to see.
S- Heavy molasses and a minimum 80% dark chocolate, with sweetening milk chocolate and smooth evaporated milk & caramel. Theres also a dark Earthy quality on the nostrils that reminds me of damp soil, raw coffee bean, cocoa bean, and raisin/fig character. The finish is astringent/dry and inviting....
T- Cold black coffee, dark chcocolate, cocoa powder, smooth cream froth, and yeasty biscuit define this very well balanced and flavored brew. Black/chocolate malts provide a superior backbone that resonates throughout and the finish is dry, as expected but smooth molasses....so smooth!
M/O- This most definitely pairs well with a Sea Salt dark chocolate, as I am enjoying at the moment. Super creamy carbonation, full bodied and superbly hidden alcohol, this is a nice drinkable Stout! I would enjoy this any time of the day/year. A real gem among the vast selection within this category!

When they say "black as deep space", they aren't kidding. I've definitely had lighter looking stouts before.
Nice head, and it stuck around for a good long while, too.
Full-on maltiness and with roasted grain/ coffee notes. Less chocolate than I was expecting but more molasses.
A great sipping beer.

Day 9 on the 2016 Craft Beer Calendar
Dark chocolatey in colour nearly non translucent. Thick brown silky head with excellent lacing
Smells of malty cafe mocha with a hint of black liquorice
Tastes of sweet roasted coffee, chocolate and stronger fruitiness than expected but its not overbearing.
Medium weight silky feel coats the tongue all over leaving a bit of a sour candy flavour after.
Very good stout and very good presentation.

330ml bottle, day 9 of the 2016 Craft BeerAdvent calendar - since these guys are Polish, I'll give them a pass on their misuse of the word 'palette' on the label.
This beer pours a solid, light-destroying black hole, with only the faintest of red cola basal edges, and three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and chunky brown head, which leaves some layered streaky lace around the glass as it lazily subsides.
It smells of bready and slightly roasted caramel malt, a bit of gooey toffee, bittersweet chocolate, black licorice, muddled dark orchard fruit, and some milky coffee-like bitterness. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, a touch of free-range ashiness, medium cocoa powder, cafe-au-lait, some sugary black and blue fruitiness, anise spice, and a hint of earthy, leafy, and floral noble hops.
The carbonation is quite understated in its yawn-inducing frothiness, the body an adequate medium weight, and mostly smooth, just a bit of char taking things down a notch or so here. It finishes well off-dry, the growing fruitiness combining with the lingering chocolate, caramel, and creamed coffee to show us out as such.
Overall, this is a rather endearing version of the style, with lots of dense stout characteristics, and yet remains very easy to put back. Definitely one of the better offerings thus far in our little beery Advent adventure this year.

16% Plato. 50 IBU.
Poured into pint.
Opaque black beer with minimal tan head, low retention.
Smell - roasted.
Taste - roasted, rather sweet, fruity notes, kvass notes, chocolate, coffee.
Medium body, soft carbonation.
Not interesting at all. Too fruity to be serious.
